If you look closely at our company banner, you’ll spot her shaded in the background. That’s Mia. She’s the company mascot—just a street cat who happens to understand human speech, negotiate perks, and manage our office plans.

Communication Style

Mia rarely meows. When she does, it’s strictly reserved for expressing pure joy or requesting specific team accommodations—like sharing a prime sunshine spot or accessing a pretty balcony view.

However, her communication style changes drastically when hiking. If she feels left out of the action, she will meow with a certain amount of desperation; chasing squirrels and climbing rocks appears to be her true natural habitat.

The Art of the Deal

Mia always asks for food nicely, usually delivering a cold nose-kiss directly to the ankle. She is deeply appreciative of the team’s effort, always thanking us for dinner with cuddles and kisses. Even if her food bowl has been sitting out full the entire day, she still notices the work that went into it and makes sure to show gratitude.

Corporate Contingency Plans & Boundaries

Despite her sweetness, negotiations can get aggressive:

  • The Resource Crisis: Whenever someone asks the question, “What if we run out of food?”, she delivers a prompt, tactical leg bite. The message is clear: “I’ll eat you, then.”
  • The Nap Clause: While she gladly allows chin and cheek scratches during her afternoon naps, disrupting her carries a penalty. If disturbed, she will raise her tail straight up—very much in the same way a person raises their middle finger when they are upset and want to be left alone.
